Oh No Plaxico
Plaxico Burress. Back when the Steelers had Plax, he had a little bit of legal trouble, had the issue about not showing up for mini-camp on mother’s day weekend, but he was worth it right? Guy could catch the ball right? Big tall receiver…deep threat…blah blah blah.
The biggest benefit he really gave the Steelers was that with all the double-teaming the opponent did on him, that helped boost Hines Ward’s production. Still, right after he left, the Steelers won the Super Bowl. Hmmmmm.
Now I remember, as does every who hates the Patriots, that Burress was the “hero” of the Super Bowl win for the Giants. Many in Pittsburgh were happy for Plax.
Now he joins the list along with TO, Pacman, etc… of being the example for what you should NOT be in sports.
He’s carrying a gun with him into a nightclub. A gun. Really. How big of a moron do you have to be to not only carry the gun in, but then shoot yourself in the leg. So Plax, what were you doing with the gun? What would’ve happened if you ever had to pull that gun? Self defense? With an unregistered weapon? Yeah, that’d fly. Hines Ward said it best…No good would ever come of it.
Hire a bodyguard. Don’t put yourself in positions where you’re going to a club where you would even need the gun. Use your brain, or do you even have one Plax?
There are many reasons I’m glad I’m a Steelers fan. Now the guys on that team aren’t and haven’t been perfect over the years. There have been legal issues that have been unacceptable. However, more often than not, the Rooneys have the common sense to get rid of a bad apple. So, sorry Ben, that may be the REAL reason they let Plax go when they did.
As far as his career with the Giants, it deserves to be over. But don’t worry Plax. I’m sure the Raiders or Cowboys would be glad to take you.
Did you know that in PA labor laws say that Single males who do not pay alomony or child support HAVE NO RIGHTS? And that an Employer hasthe right to Fire any employee without any given reason. About the issue of The Right To Bare Arms. The Porfessor who taught Political Science tried to come to her rescue. Tring to convince me that it it OK To give up Civil Rights in order for the government to make the “streets” safer. A Political Science teacher at a Liberal Arts college in PA. Teaching Furture Politicians that it is OK to give up Civil Rights so that the government. Can Make our streets safer. it was funny because everyone arguing against me was smoking weed that night. We have former Military Drill Sargents teaching Police Cadets it is ok to violate suspects Civil Rights to get arrests. And the former DA’s and police Officers who are now Judge’s and Magistrate’s are allowing cops to get away with this.How does this tie into Plaxico Burress? A lot of reporters seem to think that because he is under contract from the NY Giants. That he has to live his private life according to thier rules. Plaxico has every right to live his life the way he wants to. He also has every right to defend himself. If that includes him thinking he needs to carry a hand gun that IS HIS RIGHT! The fact is Plaxico needs to quit smoking weed. then he wouldn’t have to worry about Drug addicts tring to mug him. Or Drug dealers tring to cuckold him.
